Essing retires from Microporous Products L.P. sales team

PINEY FLATS, TN —Joe Essing, International Sales for Microporous Products, L.P., will retire in November after 43 years with Amerace, which is now Microporous Products.
Essing began his career at Amerace in Butler, NJ, in an operations position. From there, he transitioned into customer service and sales positions. During his career he was instrumental in the development and marketing of the battery separator industry standards of Ace-Sil® and Flex-Sil®.
He and his wife, Patricia, plan to enjoy retirement at their Murrells Inlet, South Carolina home. Together they have three children, William, Mark, and Amy.
Joe retires with a long history of dedicated service to both Amerace and Microporous Products. We extend our gratitude for his devoted service.
Microporous Products is the leading manufacturer of separators for both domestic and international battery companies. The company opened the Piney Flats facility in 1971, and recently began production in a new 32,000-square-foot expansion.
